A Singer /Songwriter from the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Col Gentles is a prolific songwriter boasting recent writes & co-writes with some of the best in the industry. He has had songs recorded by Drew McAlister, Kayla Mahon, Tall Timbre, The Smokin Willies, The Bushwackers, & Kate Linke (Western Australia’s current Female Artist of the Year). Col has also contributed backing vocals on albums as diverse as Allan Caswell; Ian Quinn & The Bushwackers.
‘I Said Nothin’ is Col Gentle’s first single released from his debut album ‘Laneway Bars’ produced and mastered by Roger Corbett supported by some of Australia’s best musicians. His song is a real honest portrayal of love lost from a one-sided relationship. The lyrics express the pain of betrayal leaving him broken hearted, regretful and immobilised. “I should have laid my cards on the table but I Said Nothin” reveals the torment of not having verbalised his feelings, never really having his love returned and struggling with letting go.
Col will be spending the second half of 2017 and 2018 promoting the album and has another album already half written.
